SECTION 1: Event Details

The Kirk Bowden Golf Classic is an annual fundraiser that brings together community leaders, public and private sector professionals, golf enthusiasts, and philanthropists. The event’s mission is to fund college scholarships for youth in the Arlington and Alexandria, Virginia areas.

To date, The Arlington (VA) Chapter of the Links, Incorporated has awarded over $200,000 in student scholarships.

Our 17th Annual Golf Classic includes breakfast, beverage carts, lunch, games and awards. Whether you are an avid golfer or philanthropist - or both! - this event promises a day of enjoyment, connection, and impact.

SECTION 2: Schedule of Events

• 6:30am to 7:45am - Arrivals and Continental Breakfast
• 7:00am to 8:00am - Check-In
• 7:45am to 7:50am - Mega Putt Contest on putting green 
• 7:50am - Welcome and Tournament Rules
• 8:00am - Shotgun Start
• 12:30pm - Awards Luncheon and Prizes
• 2:00pm - Tournament Concludes

SECTION 3: Golf Course Details and Golf Registration Instructions

The Westfields Golf Club course is a Fred Couples-designed golf course in Clifton, Virginia. It is a Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary. With no residences lining our links to intrude on the natural beauty of the course or to distract golfers from their game, Westfields offers a truly unique round of golf.

How to Register as an Individual, Golf Team Leader or Golf Team Member

• Section 3a - For INDIVIDUAL GOLFERS:

Step 1: Select the red “Registration” link at the top of this page

Step 2: Under “Tournament Registration” click the red “Registration” link again

Step 3: Select “New Group” and select one (1) for How many players in your group?

Step 4: Scroll down to the Mulligans, Raffles & Other Section, where we recommend you add the Player's Advantage Bundle for $20

Step 5: Click the red “Check Out” link (or you can click the cart icon to review the items in your cart) and proceed to pay

• Section 3b - For GOLF TEAMS:

Step 1: Team leader selects the red “Registration” link at the top of this page

Step 2: Under “Tournament Registration,” click the red “Registration” link again

Step 3: Team leader selects “New Group” and enters the number of players on the team (via drop-down option) - 

Step 4: Scroll down to the Mulligans, Raffles & Other Section, where we recommend you add the Player's Advantage Bundle for $20 per golfer. You can buy a bundle for yourself and for your full team, or each golfer can buy their own bundle.

Step 5: Click the red “Check Out” (you can also click the cart icon to review the items in your cart).

Step 6: Team leader completes his/her contact details and enters the team name

Step 7: Team leader opts to either pay and complete details for his/ her fellow team members OR selects “No” to proceed

Step 8: Team leader pays (either for the whole team OR just for him/ herself)

Step 9: Select “Place Order”

Step 10: Team leader will receive a confirmation email with the group code - this golf code must be shared with others on the golf team

Step 11: Remaining members of the golf team will follow Steps 1 and 2 above.  For Step 3, they should select “Existing Group”, enter the group code and select “Fetch Group”, then proceed to complete registration.

Our 17th Annual Kirk Bowden Connecting Links Golf Tournament is a driver for raising scholarship funds—but it cannot reach its full potential without strong sponsorship support. Sponsorships are not just helpful; they are essential to ensuring the tournament meaningfully impacts qualified college students who rely on financial assistance to pursue higher education.

Sponsorships create partnership models in which everyone contributes to one desired outcome: helping students access higher education without an overwhelming financial burden.

How to Become a Sponsor…

Step 1: Review sponsorship levels in the table above

Step 2: Click the red “Registration” link at the top of this page

Step 3a: Select “SPONSORSHIP WITH PLAYERS” if you are purchasing one of the sponsorship packages listed below:

• Presenting Sponsor for $10,000 includes two foursomes
• Platinum Sponsor for $7,000 includes one foursome
• Gold Sponsor for $5,000 includes one foursome
• Silver Sponsor for $3,500 includes two individual golfers
• Luncheon Sponsor for $3,000 includes two individual golfers
• Registration Sponsor for $2,000 includes two individual golfers
• Breakfast Sponsor for $1,500 includes one individual golfer
• Bronze Sponsor for $1,000 includes one individual golfer

Step 3b: Select “SPONSORSHIP WITHOUT PLAYERS” if you are purchasing one of the five (5) options below:

• Golf Towels Sponsor for $1,000
• Gift Bag Sponsor for $1,000
• Golf Photos Sponsor for $500
• Tee Sponsor for $250
• Donor Sponsor for $100

Step 4: Select the number of sponsorships you want to purchase (in the drop-down)

Step 5: Select “Checkout” and complete the requested information

The Player’s Advantage Bundle – $20
