The Collin Truesdale Memorial Golf Tournament was established in 2013 to remember and honor Collin through fun and fellowship. Collin was a rising Senior at Winthrop University when he passed away unexpectedly from a brief illness in June 2011. He is remembered by all as a fun-loving, dedicated friend and family member. The proceeds of the tournament will fund a College Scholarship for a senior at Richard Winn Academy and the amount in excess will be donated to the school. It was obvious that Collin truly loved Richard Winn Academy so with this tournament we honor him while giving back to the school.

The format will be a four-man scramble featuring teams of four players. In this format, each team’s players hit from the tee box and the team members choose the best of the four shots for the next shot. All team members then play the second shot from that location, and again choose the best shot. Play continues in this manner until the hole is completed. The team then records its score and maintains that format for all 18 holes. Handicaps will be used for the team with a maximum of 18 per player. The team’s handicap is totaled and divided by eight to determine the handicap for the four-man team.

The cost of the tournament is $300.00 per team or $75.00 per person. A 2 or 3 person team may be accommodated if needed. The tournament price includes prizes and lunch; however, mulligans may be purchased at $5.00 each (up to a maximum of 4 per player).

We are also soliciting sponsors to help promote the event and provide monetary donations for the tournament.
